Selkirk applies first-principles thinking to design scalable, process-driven systems that create lasting operational advantage.</p></div><div> <p>We are looking for a Senior Technical Designer to lead the structural development of our collections. You will be responsible for turning creative sketches into perfectly engineered garments. Your primary focus will be the creation of <strong>custom apparel blocks</strong> and managing complex <strong>grading</strong> to ensure consistency across US and Asian size charts.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <h2><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></h2> <ul> <li><strong>Block &amp; Pattern Engineering:</strong> Develop and maintain proprietary fit blocks; refine shapes based on fabric performance (stretch/shrinkage).</li> <li><strong>Grading Management:</strong> Execute and oversee grading nests for all size ranges, ensuring the design’s aesthetic is maintained from XXS to 4XL.</li> <li><strong>Tech Pack Ownership:</strong> Create comprehensive technical packages including POMs (Points of Measure), construction details, and BOMs.</li> <li><strong>Fit Leadership:</strong> Lead fit sessions and provide clear, actionable technical corrections to regional factories.</li> <li><strong>Vendor Liaison:</strong> Communicate technical requirements to factories in China, Malaysia and Vietnam</li> </ul> <h2><strong>Qualifications</strong></h2> <h3><strong>Required:</strong></h3> <ul> <li> <ul> <li><strong>Experience:</strong> 5+ years in Technical Design or Pattern Making.</li> <li><strong>Technical Skills:</strong> Mastery of CAD software (Optitex, Gerber, or Lectra) and 2D/3D pattern drafting.</li> <li><strong>Languages:</strong> Fluent English. Ability to speak Mandarin or Vietnamese is highly preferred for direct factory floor communication.</li> <li><strong>Knowledge:</strong> Deep understanding of US vs. Asian fit standards and body morphology.</li> </ul> </li> </ul> </div> <p><br><br></p>
