- Deliver and sign-off on structural design from feasibility study to practical completion for major projects, ensuring the highest level of innovation and quality.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships, influencing decisions, and promoting Arcadis.
- Oversee resource allocation, collaborate with other design disciplines, and ensure the integrity of the overall design meets client expectations.
- Understand our clients' businesses and the industry to consolidate company and personal credibility.
- Lead by example in technical issues, problem-solving, and fostering a culture of innovation within the team.
- Provide expertise, assist in technical decision-making, and offer creative solutions to project challenges.
- Work seamlessly with all disciplines and architects, employing a multidisciplinary design thinking mindset to ensure comprehensive and integrated project solutions.
- Be proactive in mentoring the team, fostering their growth and development.
First and foremost, you share our passion for improving quality of life. You are a seasoned structural engineering professional with more than 15 years of experience, strong industry ties and demonstrated credibility in a design consulting environment. You will come to us with:
- Extensive experience within the buildings sector with a particular interest in experience within the Health, Education or Data Centre space.
- Commitment to improving quality of life through sustainable and innovative design.
- Strong commercial skills in contracting, invoicing, debt management, and client management.
- Proven ability to build and maintain enduring client relationships, resulting in repeat work.
- Confidence in liaising with clients and contractors to achieve successful outcomes.
- Experience managing interdisciplinary design interfaces and projects collaboratively.
- Engineering degree with Chartered status or equivalent professional accreditation; post-graduate qualifications an advantage.
