We do&nbsp;everything from low volume prototypes to high volume production (into the tens of thousands of&nbsp;units), and we do it all in-house: from PCB design and assembly to full-stack software&nbsp;development, mechanical design to end of line integration and testing. Now, we are beginning to&nbsp;build out our Hellbender branded product lines, and are looking for technical product managers&nbsp;to help.</p> <p><br>Hellbender believes in doing well by doing good. Veterans&nbsp;and members of other underrepresented groups in tech are strongly encouraged to apply.</p> <p><strong>Job Summary:</strong><br>As a Technical Product Manager at Hellbender, you will help lead products from customer&nbsp;discovery through design, prototyping, and into production, all while keeping customer needs and&nbsp;competitive positioning front and center. You’ll coordinate among engineering, production,&nbsp;marketing and sales teams to drive the successful execution of product development efforts,&nbsp;keeping the team on time and on budget.</p> <p>The ideal candidate has strong technical and interpersonal skills, is comfortable leading teams&nbsp;and taking ownership of their work, and can function well in a scrappy and fast paced startup&nbsp;environment. This role requires a high degree of ownership but will work closely with our Chief&nbsp;Product Officer, engineering, procurement, production, and marketing teams.</p> <p><strong>Essential Duties and Responsibilities:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Establish trust and build strong relationships with stakeholders ranging from prospective&nbsp;customers to engineering teams and executives</li> <li>Define and prioritize feature development according to customer discovery, competitive&nbsp;landscape analysis, and internal resource availability</li> <li>Create and drive the successful execution of product development timelines, with an eye&nbsp;on potential scheduling, technical, and budget risks</li> <li>Oversee transition of products from development to production, and participate in&nbsp;process definition and refinement to ensure quality standards are satisfied</li> <li>Support go-to-market activities including e-commerce sales, marketing and business&nbsp;development efforts</li> </ul> <p><strong>Qualifications, Skills, and Attributes:</strong></p> <ul> <li>A Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering, Robotics, or&nbsp;equivalent education and experience</li> <li>2-5+ years Product Management experience</li> <li>Excellent oral and written communication skills</li> <li>High ownership mentality and a bias toward action</li> <li>Strong organizational skills and prior experience with project management tools like Jira</li> <li>Experience leading cross-functional technical teams throughout the product development&nbsp;lifecycle (bonus points if this occurred in a startup environment)</li> <li>Strong foundation with software, firmware, mechanical and/or electrical hardware&nbsp;development, and the ability to credibly engage with engineering teams focused in each&nbsp;domain</li> </ul> <p><strong>Compensation:</strong></p> <p>$100K - $150K salary range, relative to experience and abilities.</p> <p>This position will be open to the company yearly bonus and retirement savings&nbsp;programs.</p> <p><strong>Benefits:</strong></p> <ul> <li>401(k)</li> <li>5% Safe Harbor Contribution to 401k by Hellbender</li> <li>Dental insurance, 100% by Hellbender for employees and their families</li> <li>Flexible spending account</li> <li>Health insurance, 100% by Hellbender for employees and their families</li> <li>Vision insurance, 100% by Hellbender for employees and their families</li> <li>7.5 weeks total Paid time off</li> <li>Hellbender Inc.
