Tens of thousands of Mill’s residential food recyclers are already helping households divert millions of pounds of food scraps every year, paving the way for our upcoming launch of Mill Commercial—the industry’s first end-to-end solution for managing, understanding, and preventing food waste in commercial environments (e.g. grocery, restaurants, food services). At Mill, we are passionate about building easy-to-use, beautifully designed technologies that keep food in the food system and out of landfills.</span></p></div><p><strong>About the Role:</strong></p> <p><span style="font-weight: 400;">We are looking for a high-caliber senior technical program manager to drive the software program for Mill’s commercial hardware. You’ll work across functions and with software engineers to build and launch device firmware, displays, and connectivity with cloud services to meet product requirements, and ultimately, to enable Mill’s mission. This is a great opportunity to join an incredible, high-performing team, and exhibit strong leadership and judgment as Mill navigates its first commercial product launch!</span></p> <p><strong>Responsibilities</strong></p> <p><span style="font-weight: 400;">As Mill’s Commercial Sr. Embedded Software Technical Program Manager, you will:</span></p> <ul> <li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Work alongside engineers and quality assurance teams to deliver Mill’s commercial hardware products to market.&nbsp;</span></li> <li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Lead cross-functionally to define schedules, requirements, resources and integration plans.</span></li> <li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Communicate program status and prioritize initiatives.</span></li> <li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Drive product delivery and technology reviews.</span></li> <li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Use technical judgment to challenge proposals and build consensus.</span></li> <li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Proactively identify program risks and drive mitigation plans.</span></li> <li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Maintain the team's focus on goal-oriented results in a fast paced startup environment with many moving parts</span></li> </ul> <p><strong>Qualifications:</strong></p> <ul> <li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">7+ years of software engineering, systems engineering, or technical product/program management experience.</span></li> <li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Experience with the development and delivery of hardware products, including familiarity with sensors, actuators and computer vision systems.</span></li> <li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Experience with firmware development and testing</span></li> <li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Experience delivering tech programs or products from inception through delivery to post launch.</span></li> <li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Knowledge of user needs, gathering requirements, and defining scope.</span></li> <li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Experience operating autonomously across multiple teams, demonstrated critical thinking, and thought leadership.</span></li> <li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Communication experience and experience working with technical management teams to develop systems, solutions, and products.</span></li> <li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Organizational, coordination and multi-tasking experience.</span></li> <li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Analytical and problem-solving experience with large-scale systems.</span></li> <li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Ability to communicate technical tradeoffs (e.g., battery life vs. software performance) to non-technical stakeholders.</span></li> <li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">B.S. in Computer Science or a related technical discipline, or equivalent experience.</span></li> </ul> <p><span style="font-weight: 400;"><em data-stringify-type="italic">The estimated base salary range for this position is $185k to $210k, <em>which does not include the value of benefits or a potential equity grant. A wide range of factors are considered in making compensation decisions, including but not limited to skill sets, market conditions, experience and training, licensure and certifications, and business and organizational needs.</em></em></span></p>
