About the role
Position Overview:
As a Technical Writer, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining high-quality documentation that clearly communicates technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Work Schedule and Arrangement: 10:00 AM- 7:00 PM, Onsite
Office Location: 8th floor Skyrise 4B Building, IT Park, Lahug, Cebu City, Cebu
Key Responsibilities:
- Writing user manuals, release notes, scripts, newsletter articles, posters, and other internal documents.
- Developing scripts and content for interactive training materials and internal communication materials.
- Researching available product information and coordinating with subject matter experts to ensure accuracy and completeness of documentation.
- Testing technical features of software to determine the most effective and user-friendly instructions.
- Ensuring final drafts comply with established team guidelines and specifications, and applying appropriate editorial treatment to existing documents.
- Managing time effectively and meeting documentation deadlines accordingly.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree (BA or BS) in any field. Preferred but not required: Computer Science, Information Technology, Communication, Language-related courses, Education, or equivalent.
- Fresh graduates are welcome to apply. Writing or technical writing-related experience is a strong advantage.
- Excellent technical writing skills.
- Highly competent in written and spoken American English.
- Proficiency in MS Office applications, Google Suite tools, and screen capture tools.
- Ability to understand technical information and present it in a simple, organized, and concise manner.
- Strong time management skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and within a team.
- Comfortable working in an office-based environment.
- Able to work with minimal supervision and hit the ground running.
Salary and monetary benefits (in PHP):
- Monthly salary of 16,000php - 20,000php
- New hire bonus of 5,000php
- Risk allowance of 2,000php
