Job Summary: Sortitt is seeking an experienced Technology Lead to join us. This role is ideal for a technically strong professional who has hands-on to system architecture, development, and optimization. This position is responsible for building scalable, secure, and high-performing web applications using Node.js, Express.js, Next.js, and MongoDB, while setting technical direction, best practices, and ensuring delivery excellence.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate cross-functionally with product, business, and operations teams to translate vision into scalable technology solutions.
• Architect and maintain robust backend systems using Node.js and Express.js, ensuring top-tier performance and security.
• Oversee the development of responsive, fast, and user-centric frontends using Next.js.
• Manage and optimize database structures and performance in MongoDB, ensuring scalability and data integrity.
• Ensure all systems meet the highest standards of security, compliance, and performance.
• Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure as code for streamlined deployment and scalability.
• Introduce and enforce coding standards, code reviews, and best practices to maintain software quality.
• Drive architectural decisions aligned with product goals and long-term technical vision.
• Stay ahead of emerging technologies to continuously evolve the product stack.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in a technology leadership or senior full-stack development role.
• Proven expertise in the following tech stack:
  • Backend: Node.js, Express.js
  • Frontend: Next.js
  • Database: MongoDB
• Strong understanding of API design, microservices architecture, and event-driven systems.
• Experience managing deployments on AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and modern DevOps practices.
• Experience working in agile development environments.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience in FinTech, Banking, or other regulated industries is an advantage.
• Knowledge of distributed systems or blockchain (DLT) is a plus.
