About the role

Who we are looking for

Bluegrass is seeking an experienced and commercially minded Technology Talent & Resource Manager to lead our talent acquisition and resource management function. You will manage all our hiring needs, including advertising open roles > interviewing candidates > closing hires > onboarding and monthly care for resources.

This role combines technology recruitment, resource planning, contractor management, client engagement and commercial administration. The successful candidate will be responsible for attracting and managing technology talent, supporting our staff augmentation and managed services engagements, and ensuring exceptional service delivery to both clients and consultants.

We are looking for someone with a proven track record recruiting within software engineering, digital product development and technology consulting environments. The ideal candidate will understand modern software delivery teams and have experience recruiting and managing talent across disciplines including (but not limited to) .NET, React, React Native, JavaScript, AI, Cloud, DevOps, QA, Product and Delivery.

This is not a traditional recruitment role. It is a key position within Bluegrass Digital that supports talent growth, resource contractual management, client success and business growth across our software engineering, product development and managed services practices.

We design and build products and platforms for a range of customers from funded start-ups up to large global enterprises. Our solutions are crafted using the latest secure and robust technologies built on Microsoft Azure. We have core practices in mobile applications, web application development and web content management solutions. Our teams cover UX & Design; Business Analysis; Project Management; Development; QA.

Key responsibilities include

  • Your responsibilities include researching and sourcing potential candidates, screening applications, supporting hiring managers, and growing our candidate database (including our offshore suppliers).
  • You will be responsible for hiring qualified people that align with our values and ensure a positive onboarding experience for new hires.
  • Recruit and place technology professionals across software engineering, cloud, QA, product and delivery teams.
  • Build and maintain a strong network and database of directly sourced candidates, whom we are consistently communicating with and can quickly call on specifically around staff augmentation placements (client or internal).
  • Network with potential hires through professional groups on social platforms and during events.
  • Manage staff augmentation and contractor engagements from onboarding through to renewal.
  • Support resource checkins and contract management across client accounts.
  • Build strong relationships with clients, consultants and internal teams.
  • Manage client MSA's, SOW's, contracts, renewals and related administration.
  • Provide salary benchmarking, market intelligence and hiring advice.
  • Support business development, proposals and growth opportunities

Required Experience

  • Qualification in Human Resources Management, Organisational Psychology, Business Administration or relevant field.
  • 5+ years' experience in technology recruitment, staffing or talent acquisition.
  • Proven experience recruiting within software development, digital product engineering or technology consulting environments.
  • Proven experience working with contractors, staff augmentation and professional services delivery models.
  • Proven experience as a Talent Acquisition Specialist, Recruiter, or similar role.
  • Strong client relationship management and stakeholder management skills.
  • Must have good knowledge and experience hiring technical IT roles with good technical knowledge
  • Must have experience in sourcing techniques on social media and niche professional websites like LinkedIn, Facebook, GitHub and Stack Overflow.
  • Experience managing candidates and roles with applicant tracking systems.
