About the role

Key Responsibilities

  •  Preparing and cooking meals on a teppan in front of guests.
  •  Creating a fun and engaging atmosphere.
  •  Interacting with guests and explaining the dishes being prepared.
  •  Maintaining high standards of food safety and hygiene.
  •  Managing inventory and ordering supplies as needed.
  •  Training and supervising junior kitchen staff.
  •  Developing new menu items.
  •  Ensuring the kitchen is clean and well-maintained.
  •  Working closely with the restaurant manager to ensure a high-quality dining experience.
  •  Handling customer complaints and queries professionally.

Job Requirements

  •  Proven experience as a Teppanyaki Chef.
  •  Excellent knife skills.
  •  Knowledge of Japanese cuisine.
  •  Good communication skills.
  •  Ability to work under pressure in a busy environment.
  •  Understanding of food safety and hygiene regulations (HACCP).
  •  Ability to manage inventory and order supplies.
  •  Ability to train and supervise junior kitchen staff.
  •  Creativity in developing new menu items.
  •  Ability to handle customer complaints and queries professionally.
