<p style="text-align: center;"><img style="max-width: 100%;" src="https://i.imgur.com/6B5xS8I.jpeg" alt="" width="200"></p> <p><strong>GO Tutor Corps Teacher Residency</strong><strong><br></strong><strong>Location:&nbsp;</strong>Washington, DC<strong><br></strong><strong>Stipend:</strong> $22,000 (prorated pending start date) | Timeline: August 2026 until June 2027</p> <p>At the GO Tutor Corps, we believe great teachers are homegrown. That’s why we’ve created the GO Residency—a pathway to the classroom for aspiring educators committed to transforming outcomes for students.</p> <p>The GO Residency is a school-based teaching apprenticeship, spanning 1 to 2 years, designed to support individuals pursuing a Master of Arts in Teaching (MAT) and teaching certification. Residents are placed at one of our partner schools where they gain immersive, hands-on experience through our gradual release in a real classroom under the guidance of a seasoned Mentor Teacher. The Residency blends graduate coursework with daily practice, coaching, and mentorship.&nbsp;</p> <p>After acceptance into the program, Residents apply to and enroll in a MAT program through one of our graduate school partners. In Washington, DC, we are looking for Residents interested in becoming a future math teacher. Tuition ranges from $11,000 to $25,000 per year, depending on the graduate school program. Throughout the Residency, participants also receive targeted coaching, professional development, and leadership training from the GO Tutor Corps team.</p> <p><span style="text-decoration: underline;"><strong>Stipend &amp; Program Benefits</strong></span></p> <p>All Residents receive a <strong>$22,000</strong> stipend (prorated pending start date) during the residency year to support living expenses while completing the program. Additional benefits include:</p> <ul> <li style="font-weight: bold; color: rgb(0, 0, 0);"><strong>Housing stipend, seperate from the $22,000 stipend listed above</strong></li> <li>Embedded mentorship and gradual release teaching model</li> <li>Daily hands-on experience supporting instruction in a classroom</li> <li>Guidance through graduate coursework and the teacher certification process</li> <li>Ongoing coaching and observation from program leadership</li> <li>Loan postponement on qualified education loans</li> <li>Monthly professional development sessions</li> <li>Opportunities to connect with a growing network of educators, alumni, and community partners</li> <li>A clear pathway into a <strong>full-time</strong>, salaried teaching role in Year 2, ideally at your residency placement site</li> </ul> <p><span style="text-decoration: underline;"><strong>Who We’re Looking For</strong></span></p> <p>We’re seeking individuals who:</p> <ul> <li>Hold a bachelor’s degree (or will earn one before the program start date) with a minimum <strong>2.5 GPA</strong></li> <li>Are passionate about educational equity and student success</li> <li>Are eager to learn, grow, and develop as an educator</li> <li>Thrive in collaborative environments</li> <li>Are pursuing a Master of Arts in Teaching or open to enrolling in a partner program</li> <li>Are committed to working in public education long-term</li> </ul> <p><span style="text-decoration: underline;"><strong>What You’ll Do (Day-to-Day Responsibilities)</strong></span></p> <p>As a Resident, your day-to-day work will include:</p> <ul> <li>Co-teaching and supporting instruction in a partner school classroom</li> <li>Working closely with a Mentor Teacher and school staff to support student learning</li> <li>Planning and implementing lessons and small group instruction as your skills develop</li> <li>Participating in regular observations and feedback sessions</li> <li>Completing graduate coursework aligned with your certification pathway</li> <li>Supporting classroom routines, management, and assessment</li> <li>Engaging with students in a variety of ways throughout the day, including tutoring, supporting transitions, and leading after-school activities.</li> <li>Attending and engaging in all GO Tutor Corps and school-based trainings and meetings</li> </ul> <p><span style="text-decoration: underline;"><strong>Program Timeline &amp; Application</strong></span></p> <p>Residency begins in August 2026 and continues through June 2027. Successful Residents may transition into a full-time teaching role at their placement school or another GO partner school the following year.</p> <p>Applicants must complete the application in full. Responses will be reviewed by the GO Tutor Corps Residency selection team and school partners.</p>
