We are looking for a Track Systems Technician (T&OCS) to join our Track Systems team. Reporting into our Track Systems Engineering Manager (Telemetry & On-Car Systems), this role will support the installation, commissioning, operation, and maintenance of the Standard Communication System providing telemetry, onboard video, and car data to clients.
Personal Qualities
In this role it is essential that you are:
Able to work un-supervised
Demonstrated ability to work as part of an effective team
Excellent organisation and time management, setting priorities and meeting deadlines.
Experience
Prior to the role it would be essential that you:
Experience in a practical, hands-on technical manual role, such as installation, rigging, outside broadcast, or similar operational environments.
Working in a fast paced, pressurized environment where deadlines, safety and reliability are critical.
Demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a team, including following instructions, communicating clearly, and supporting shared objectives.
Reading, understanding, and working to technical drawings
Some desirable experience that you may bring to the role:
Soldering
Wiring
Climbing
Data Analysis
RF Spectrum Analysis
Fiber Optics
Working knowledge of IP addressing, TCP/IP communications
Qualifications
You will also have the following qualifications:
NVQ Level 3
Vocational Qualifications Level 3
GCSE AS and A Level
Advanced Diplomas in Engineering related field (Electronic, Electrical and RF Comms)
