Trade lawyer

As a member of the Brussels Trade team, you will support the trade practice, with a particular focus on WTO law. You will be one of the leading associates on WTO related topics.

In this role, you will assist the team with:

• Drafting legal documents, correspondence and memoranda;

• Advising on substantive and procedural aspects of WTO law and EU/international trade law more broadly;

• Representing clients before WTO panels, EU courts and institutions;

• Supporting partners and counsel in ongoing matters and cases;

• Contributing to the development of the practice, including knowledge sharing and client-related initiatives.

• Legal research on EU and international trade law.

• You will work closely with partners, counsel and associates in the Trade practice, offering you exposure to a wide range of trade-related matters with a focus on WTO issues;

• You will work in a stimulating and dynamic environment with motivated and enthusiastic colleagues, with direct client exposure, and on high-profile cases in a wide range of sectors;

• You are a qualified lawyer, in your third to sixth year of practice;

• You have experience in WTO and EU and international trade law, and are motivated to further develop your expertise;

• You have a solid academic background in WTO law;

• You are very fluent in English; a strong knowledge of other languages is an asset;

• You are proactive, entrepreneurial and eager to learn;

• You have strong legal analytical skills, attention to detail and enjoy working both independently and as part of a team.
