About the role
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Perform general inspections, diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs on a fleet of 600 refrigerated trailers
- Perform work on ThermoKing diesel engines, brake systems, electrical systems and other trailer components
- Review repair work orders and discuss work with supervisors
- Communicate with managers or drivers to obtain descriptions of vehicle problems
- Work in a safe and professional manner
- Ensure cleanliness of shop and surrounding areas
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must have own tools
- At least 1 year trailer mechanic experience required
- High school diploma or GED required, technical education highly desired.
- Valid driver’s license
- Must pass drug screening
- Must be able to meet physical requirements of the position (lifting excess of 80 lbs, bending, climbing and standing for duration of a work shift)
