Overall Job Purpose: 

Responsibility to aid the Eastern syndicate, predominantly Singapore and Hong Kong, underwriting teams in daily operations and provide underwriting services to the Syndicate in respect of assigned work.

Overall Job Purpose: 

Responsibility to aid the Eastern syndicate, predominantly Singapore and Hong Kong, underwriting teams in daily operations and provide underwriting services to the Syndicate in respect of assigned work.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in producing new and renewal policies for the syndicate’s various lines of business.
• Review and process policy documents, endorsements, and certificates.
• Manage the syndicates databases and ensure data integrity and accuracy.
• To promote the relationship between the Club and potential and existing Members for which the Syndicate is responsible.
• Assist in maintaining relationships with brokers, surveyors, and clients.
• To handle all underwriting matters within assigned areas as directed in accordance with company procedures.
• To identify the need for loss prevention activity.
• To provide cover in absence of Syndicate Manager.
• To assist in ensuring consistency of underwriting handling across Syndicate teams in relation to allocated issues.
• To contribute to the continuous development and improvement of company procedures and systems.
• To take on any other responsibilities or tasks that are within the scope of personal skills and abilities whenever reasonably instructed.
• To attend training and to develop relevant knowledge and skills.
• Provide additional administrative support to the underwriting team as required.

Person Specification:

• Proven P&I experience gained within a P&I Club or P&I broker highly desirable.
• Ability to manage tasks and responsibilities with minimal supervision.
• Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Strong eye for accuracy and consistency in all work.
• Methodical approach to tasks, with excellent people skills and a clear communication style.
• Language proficiency in Mandarin and English required
