<p> </p>
<p><strong>Coho Technology Solutions</strong> is seeking a qualified <strong>Utility Systems Operator (USO)</strong> to support ongoing operations on <strong>San Clemente Island</strong> for our U.S. Navy customer. This role involves the skilled operation and maintenance of critical utility infrastructure focused on wastewater and industrial wastewater systems. The ideal candidate will possess the necessary California certifications and a strong working knowledge of utility systems within a military or remote-site environment.</p>
<p><strong>Required Certifications:</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>California Grade D2 Distribution System License</li>
<li>California Grade T2 Water Treatment License</li>
<li>California Wastewater Treatment Level 3 Certification</li>
<li>Valid California Class C Driver’s License</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>Experience & Skills Required:</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Demonstrated experience in maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing, and operating:</li>
<ul>
<li>Wastewater treatment systems</li>
<li>Industrial wastewater treatment plants</li>
</ul>
<li>Proficient in the use of tools, instruments, and equipment specific to the utility systems trade</li>
<li>Ability to read and interpret construction blueprints, technical manuals, and utility schematics</li>
<li>Working knowledge of utility system interdependencies and their relationship with other trades</li>
<li>Capable of basic utility-related mathematical calculations</li>
<li>Strong diagnostic skills and ability to identify, evaluate, and correct system deficiencies</li>
<li>Familiarity with NAVFAC SW Safety and Health Requirement Manual, as well as applicable DoD, Navy, and NAVFAC regulations and standards</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>Key Responsibilities:</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Operate, monitor, and maintain utility systems and related infrastructure</li>
<li>Perform scheduled and unscheduled outages and support construction-related utility activities</li>
<li>Perform routine maintenance, repairs, and installations for utility-related equipment and components</li>
<li>Ensure compliance with environmental and safety regulations</li>
<li>Accurately record data, inspections, and maintenance actions</li>
<li>Use visual, sensory, and manual dexterity to detect deficiencies and perform repairs</li>
<li>Coordinate with site personnel and government representatives to ensure system readiness and operational compliance</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>Work Environment:</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Remote site located on San Clemente Island, CA</li>
<li>Rotational work schedule: 8 days on / 6 days off</li>
<li>Travel to and from the island provided via government flight from Coronado, CA</li>
<li>Work may involve exposure to environmental hazards and requires physical stamina</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>Preferred Qualifications:</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Prior experience working on military installations or with NAVFAC operations</li>
<li>Familiarity with SCADA or automated system controls</li>
<li>OSHA safety training or related certifications</li>
