Newstaff Employment is hiring a reliable Van Driver in Luton to join a busy and fast-moving distribution team, delivering goods safely, efficiently, and on time while providing excellent customer service.

Location: Luton
Salary: £13.00 per hour
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, with Saturday work offered when busy. Start times vary between 5:30 am, and finish times are usually around 4:30 pm, although flexibility is essential due to traffic and delivery schedules.
Job Type: Full-time / Temp to Perm

Key Responsibilities

• Drive a company van safely and efficiently to complete deliveries across local routes
• Carry out daily vehicle checks before each shift
• Load and unload goods carefully and securely
• Deliver goods to customers on time and in line with delivery schedules
• Complete delivery paperwork and driver logs accurately
• Communicate clearly with customers at delivery points
• Follow road safety rules, traffic laws, and company procedures at all times
• Support the wider team when extra deliveries or duties are required

Essential Skills & Experience

• Full UK driving licence with a clean driving record
• Previous van driving or delivery experience is preferred
• Good knowledge of local routes, including the Milton Keynes area
• Strong time management and organisational skills
• Good communication skills and a professional manner
• Ability to provide excellent customer service
• Willingness to lift and move heavy items when required
• Flexible approach to start and finish times
