If you're ready to drive change and make history, apply now!</div><h4>What you’ll do</h4> The General Assembly Quality Vehicle Analysis Center Technical Specialist is responsible for performing technical causal analysis for complex product issues identified in the Production System and from Customer Feedback. This position utilizes specialized equipment in the Vehicle Analysis Center to aid in analysis.   Become part of an iconic brand that is set to revolutionize the electric pick-up truck & rugged SUV marketplace by achieving the following: Technical Analysis (Problem Solving):  <ul> <li>Perform analysis from requests driven by the Production and Quality Teams as well as determine when analysis is needed from results in historical data.  </li> <li>Work with cross-functional teams to drive resolution for high importance items </li> <li>Perform technical causal analysis utilizing specialized equipment to determine cause and resolve complex product issues identified in the Production system </li> <li>Report problem-solving status and findings to Senior Leadership at daily and weekly rounds  </li> </ul> Routine Analysis:  <ul> <li>Perform functional analysis at set frequencies to ensure Conformity of Production/Product. </li> <li>Perform feature analysis at set frequencies to ensure Conformity of Production/Product. </li> <li>Aid in development of test cases and methods for analysis.  </li> <li>Identify high risk cases from analysis and lead resolution activities </li> </ul>  Corrective action monitoring:  <ul> <li>Support corrective action development  </li> <li>Monitor corrective action implementation for effectiveness and react to NOK trends </li> </ul> Standardization:  <ul> <li>Create standard operations for utilizing equipment in the Vehicle Analysis Center </li> <li>Perform continuous improvement activities to improve standards </li> </ul> Training and Support:   <ul> <li>Support initial builds, vehicle launches, and production ramp-ups to ensure quality targets are met in pre-series and series operations </li> <li>Lead and provide training and guidance to general assembly staff on quality standards and techniques, including VDA requirements.  </li> <li>Assist in the development of training materials and programs related to general assembly Quality.    </li> </ul> Location & Travel Expectations: <ul> <li>This role will be based out of the Scout Motors location in Blythewood, South Carolina</li> <li>This role requires 4-5 days per week in the office, with regular in-person meetings and events. </li> <li>Applicants should expect that the role will require the ability to convene with Scout colleagues in person and travel to participate in events on behalf of the company from time to time.</li> <li>Occasional travel for training, group site visits, or company events. Passport required. </li> </ul> <h4>What you’ll bring </h4> We expect all Scout employees to have integrity, curiosity, resourcefulness, and strive to exhibit a positive attitude, as well as a growth mindset. Here's what else you'll bring:  Education & Experience:   <ul> <li>Minimum of high school diploma, GED or equivalent required for all roles at Scout Motors, Inc. </li> <li>Bachelor’s degree in Automotive Technology, Engineering, or a related technical field preferred or equivalent work experience of: </li> <li>5+ years of professional experience in automotive production and quality control concepts or a related field, including hands-on experience performing technical analysis.  </li> </ul> Skills:   <ul> <li>Hands-on experience performing technical analysis in an analysis center or laboratory environment.  </li> <li>Greenfield or Brownfield Automotive facility launch experience preferred.   </li> <li>In-depth knowledge of automotive processes, products, and materials, including familiarity with assembly tools, equipment, and best practices in the general assembly processes.  </li> <li>Experience with VDA standards and their application in the automotive industry.  </li> <li>Problem-solving and analytical skills.  </li> <li>In depth understanding of DMAIC methodologies and the ability to utilize them </li> <li>Excellent writing skills for developing clear and comprehensive quality standards and procedures.  </li> <li>Data driven and evidence-based mindset. </li> <li>Attention to detail and organizational skills.  </li> <li>Effective communication and interpersonal skills.  </li> <li>Ability to work independently and as part of a team.  </li> <li>Hands-on experience with analyzing electrical systems and mechanical assemblies.  </li> <li>Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Quality Management software.  </li> <li>Six Sigma Greenbelt or Blackbelt preferred. </li> </ul> Working Conditions:   <ul> <li>Physical Demands:  </li> <li>Ability to perform inspections and audits that may require standing, walking, bending, or lifting.  </li> <li>Environment:  </li> <li>Work in a general assembly shop or manufacturing environment.  </li> </ul> Additional Requirements:   <ul> <li>Adherence to safety protocols and company policies.  </li> <li>Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and work environments.  </li> <li>Commitment to continuous improvement and professional development.  </li> <li>An ability to solve problems in manufacturing, problems in general assembly shop, and other areas in the plant. </li> </ul> <h4>What you'll gain</h4> The benefits of joining Scout include the chance to build products and a company from the ground up.  This is a chance to create something new and lasting – with an iconic brand at its foundation.  In addition, Scout provides competitive compensation and benefits to support your physical, mental, and financial wellbeing. Final salary offered will be determined based on factors including but not limited to the candidate's skills and experience.
