Our ideal candidate understands vehicle suspension, steering and brake systems—preferably with motorsport or dynamics tuning experience. The Role <ul> <li>Support preparation, component upgrades, and maintenance of vehicle dynamics prototype fleet</li> <li>Perform and streamline component swaps (springs, stabilizer bars, dampers, bushings, etc.) during tuning sessions</li> <li>Collaborate with development team to deliver world-class ride and handling attributes</li> <li>Travel and/or transport vehicles to test tracks around the country, including proving grounds, winter test, press events, and racetracks</li> <li>Install robust data acquisition systems on prototype vehicles: accelerometers, strain gauges, thermocouples, pressure transducers, CAN, etc.</li> <li>Troubleshoot and document mechanical and electric issues, including fabrication where necessary</li> <li>Drive vehicles to evaluate vehicle health status, test features</li> <li>Create and develop service and maintenance documents (service manual procedure, containments, etc.)</li> <li>Critical thinking skills without instruction manuals or workbooks</li> </ul> Qualifications <ul> <li>Automotive technician degree or equivalent work experience</li> <li>Proven record of innovation and problem solving</li> <li>Experience with high-performance or luxury vehicles</li> <li>Ability to travel (40-50%)</li> <li>Must own a professional automotive toolbox</li> <li>Available to work overtime, evenings, and weekends when needed</li> <li>Technical and mechanical skill-set</li> <li>Proficient with hand and power tools</li> <li>Able to handle numerous ambiguity projects simultaneously with ease</li> <li>Extremely high attention to safety and details</li> <li>Proof of excellence in your past position</li> <li>Experience using electrical test equipment</li> <li>Team player, willing to learn and have a positive attitude</li> <li>Wire harness building (soldering, crimping, splicing) etc.</li> </ul> Advantageous <ul> <li>Motorsport background</li> <li>Working knowledge of CAN, electronics, and data logging</li> <li>Fabrication/Welding skills</li> <li>Understanding of high-voltage vehicle systems</li> </ul>  At Lucid, we don’t just welcome diversity - we celebrate it!
