If&nbsp;you're&nbsp;ready to lay the foundations for a new era in space, embrace a culture of relentless learning and innovation, and contribute to a future where humanity's reach extends farther,&nbsp;Gravitics&nbsp;is the place for you.&nbsp;Let's&nbsp;build the future, together.&nbsp;&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>About the Role</strong>&nbsp;</p> <p>To build our space systems, we need rockstars&nbsp;of all experience levels&nbsp;who can directly&nbsp;work&nbsp;the full product lifecycle of several challenging assemblies, including pressurized structures, launch adapters, mechanisms,&nbsp;tooling,&nbsp;and more.&nbsp;&nbsp;</p> <p><em><strong>Responsibilities:</strong>&nbsp;</em></p> <ul> <li>Work with&nbsp;a team of all-star responsible engineers working on&nbsp;an advanced highly capable kick stage vehicle, steering the design of pressurized weldment structures, integrated subsystems, payload accommodations, separation systems, and more&nbsp;</li> <li>Clearly communicate technical concepts and programmatic elements to your team, colleagues, executive leadership, and customers&nbsp;</li> <li>Create mechanical design&nbsp;and integrated vehicle&nbsp;layouts&nbsp;that meet all requirements&nbsp;</li> <li>Create detailed&nbsp;component&nbsp;and assembly drawings incorporating an understanding of GD&amp;T and tolerance stack-ups&nbsp;</li> <li>Design test plans and generate verification reports&nbsp;</li> <li>Work with suppliers and our manufacturing team to make your designs reality.&nbsp;</li> <li>Be&nbsp;a reliable&nbsp;expert of your&nbsp;system, from concept to&nbsp;mission control&nbsp;console.&nbsp;</li> </ul> <p><strong>About You</strong>&nbsp;</p> <p>You’re&nbsp;a successful candidate&nbsp;if&nbsp;you are a&nbsp;giver, not&nbsp;a&nbsp;taker.&nbsp;You&nbsp;have an ability to make things happen.&nbsp;You&nbsp;are exceptional&nbsp;at several&nbsp;things, yet willing to take on efforts in areas&nbsp;of weakness.&nbsp;&nbsp;</p> <p><strong><em>Required Attributes</em></strong>&nbsp;</p> <ul> <li>Demonstrated&nbsp;past&nbsp;ownership of complex projects.&nbsp;</li> <li>Expert level technical knowledge in any of the following disciplines: primary, secondary structures, mechanisms, pressure systems, or other areas related to&nbsp;kick stage vehicles&nbsp;</li> <li>Knowledge of loads such as&nbsp;pressure,&nbsp;vibration, shock, thermal, and&nbsp;how to design for them.&nbsp;</li> <li>5+ years of&nbsp;industry&nbsp;experience&nbsp;in mechanical or aerospace engineering.&nbsp;</li> <li>Familiarity with CAD&nbsp;packages such as NX/Solidworks&nbsp;</li> <li>Analysis using&nbsp;tools such as&nbsp;Simcenter, FEMAP,&nbsp;Nastran, Ansys, Abaqus,&nbsp;or&nbsp;LS-Dyna&nbsp;</li> <li>Strong understanding and application of drafting standards and GD&amp;T (ASME Y14.5) in creating drawings.&nbsp;</li> <li>Bachelor’s degree in an applicable field.&nbsp;</li> </ul> <p><strong><em>Bonus&nbsp;Points for</em></strong>&nbsp;</p> <ul> <li>Ownership of the technical development of major systems on a space vehicle or launch vehicle through the entirety of its design cycle: conceptualization, system level trades, design, analysis, test, build, integration, and flight operations&nbsp;&nbsp;</li> <li>Structural optimization using standard industry codes (HEEDS, HyperX,&nbsp;Optistruct, NX Topology, Nastran Sol 200, Attune (IMAT))&nbsp;</li> <li>Deep working knowledge in analysis of welds and other joints, design for manufacturability, and heat treat properties.&nbsp;</li> <li>Experience with NASGRO&nbsp;</li> <li>Familiarity&nbsp;with AIAA S-080&nbsp;&nbsp;</li> <li>Rigging and&nbsp;lifting analysis for&nbsp;large metallic structures&nbsp;</li> <li>Familiarity with industry&nbsp;standard&nbsp;weld codes such as AWS D17.1, AWS D1.1, AWS D1.2&nbsp;</li> </ul> <p><strong>Compensation and Benefits</strong></p> <p>For Marysville, WA, the expected base salary range for this role is $140,000 - 170,000. Your level and base salary will be determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on the considerations of job-related knowledge and skills, education, and direct experience.
