We are looking for a&nbsp;<span style="font-weight: bold;">Vehicle Integration Engineer</span> to support our client's <span style="font-weight: bold;">AV Operations Team</span> in <span style="font-weight: bold;">Santa Clara, CA.</span>&nbsp; This is a <span style="font-weight: bold;">W-2</span> full-time, short term<span style="font-weight: bold;"> contract</span> role. We offer competitive pay $60-$67/hr based on factors like experience, education, location, etc. and provide full benefits, PTO, and amazing company culture!</p> <p style="margin: 0in; font-family: Calibri; font-size: 11.0pt;">&nbsp;</p> <p style="margin: 0in; font-family: Calibri; font-size: 11.0pt;">In this role, you will be working with the automotive technicians and senior engineers responsible for developing and maintaining our autonomous driving platform (incl. sensors like cameras, LiDAR, radar, USS, GPS and others). We focus on reported vehicle platform issues, and you will triage those in the vehicle. You will help build, test and maintain the system and make it work flawlessly and safely on our driving platform. You are encouraged to have strong communication, interpersonal, and analytical skills. Previous hands-on experience installing, fixing, and updating (autonomous) vehicle hardware as well as in-depth experience fixing automotive bus systems (e.g. CAN, Ethernet) is a requirement. Experience with autonomous vehicle sensor suite hardware and automotive mechanical and electrical systems is highly valued! Must have the flexibility to work night and/or weekend shifts as needed.</p> <p style="margin: 0in; font-family: Calibri; font-size: 11.0pt;">&nbsp;</p> <p style="margin: 0in; font-family: Calibri; font-size: 11.0pt;"><span style="font-weight: bold; text-decoration: underline;">What you'll be doing:</span></p> <p style="margin: 0in; font-family: Calibri; font-size: 11.0pt;">Debug/maintain and integrate systems into vehicle platforms</p> <p style="margin: 0in; font-family: Calibri; font-size: 11.0pt;">Triage reported in-vehicle issues (that could be related to sensors, vehicle ECUs, vehicle communication, data logging equipment, software and more)</p> <p style="margin: 0in; font-family: Calibri; font-size: 11.0pt;">Solve vehicle communication issues, design solutions and raise incidents where necessary</p> <p style="margin: 0in; font-family: Calibri; font-size: 11.0pt;">Be hands-on (incl. disassembling) in vehicles to determine root causes of reported issues</p> <p style="margin: 0in; font-family: Calibri; font-size: 11.0pt;">Be the “first responder” for vehicle issues</p> <p style="margin: 0in; font-family: Calibri; font-size: 11.0pt;">Raise suggestions for improvements to avoid reoccurring issues with the platform</p> <p style="margin: 0in; font-family: Calibri; font-size: 11.0pt;">&nbsp;</p> <p style="margin: 0in; font-family: Calibri; font-size: 11.0pt;">&nbsp;</p> <p style="margin: 0in; font-family: Calibri; font-size: 11.0pt;"><span style="font-weight: bold; text-decoration: underline;">What we need to see:</span></p> <p style="margin: 0in; font-family: Calibri; font-size: 11.0pt;">Hands-on experience in diagnosing automotive bus systems and working on vehicles (disassembling and assembling parts of the vehicle) and the ability to demonstrate high proficiency in these areas</p> <p style="margin: 0in; font-family: Calibri; font-size: 11.0pt;">Bachelor in Engineering field (Automotive, electric, IT, or similar) or equivalent experience</p> <p style="margin: 0in; font-family: Calibri; font-size: 11.0pt;">In-depth experience with ECU communication/protocols/technologies (e.g. CAN, FlexRay, Ethernet)</p> <p style="margin: 0in; font-family: Calibri; font-size: 11.0pt;">Experience with diverse automotive sensors incl. radars, cameras, ultrasonic and LiDAR</p> <p style="margin: 0in; font-family: Calibri; font-size: 11.0pt;">Must possess a good technical problem solving ability and attitude</p> <p style="margin: 0in; font-family: Calibri; font-size: 11.0pt;">Extended computer (ECU flashing, IP/Ethernet, Linux command line experience) and excellent communication skills required</p> <p style="margin: 0in; font-family: Calibri; font-size: 11.0pt;">Flexibility to work weekend shifts and/or evening shifts</p> <p style="margin: 0in; font-family: Calibri; font-size: 11.0pt;">&nbsp;</p> <p style="margin: 0in; font-family: Calibri; font-size: 11.0pt;">&nbsp;</p> <p style="margin: 0in; font-family: Calibri; font-size: 11.0pt;"><span style="font-weight: bold; text-decoration: underline;">Ways to stand out from the crowd:</span></p> <p style="margin: 0in; font-family: Calibri; font-size: 11.0pt;">Computer-savvy, ideally experience with scripting languages and Linux OS</p> <p style="margin: 0in; font-family: Calibri; font-size: 11.0pt;">Excellence in trouble shooting and problem solving of Automotive Electronics installations</p> <p style="margin: 0in; font-family: Calibri; font-size: 11.0pt;">Experience with state-of-the-art automotive bus analyzing tools (e.g. Vector CANoe/CANalyzer)</p> <p style="margin: 0in; font-family: Calibri; font-size: 11.0pt;">Worked with latest sensor technology for autonomous driving platforms incl. sensor calibrations</p> <p style="margin: 0in; font-family: Calibri; font-size: 11.0pt;">&nbsp;</p> <p style="margin: 0in; font-family: Calibri; font-size: 11.0pt;"><span style="font-style: italic;">Sustainable Talent is a M/F+, disabled, and veteran equal employment opportunity and affirmative action employer.</span></p> <p>&nbsp;</p>
