That’s why we take extra special care of our team members through continuing education opportunities, promotion possibilities, and a supportive work environment you can be proud of.  REPORTS TO: Chief Veterinary Officer POSITION OVERVIEW: With high patient volume in a fast-paced environment, we are seeking a dynamic Emergency Veterinarian Medical Director to lead with vision, inspire excellence, and guide our team in delivering exceptional care. As Medical Director, you will:  <ul> <li>Establish and Oversee 24/7 Operations – Oversee 24/7 operations to ensure excellence in both clinical and client service standards. </li> <li>Develop Trusted Partnerships – Create relationships within the industry and community to elevate EVCC’s impact.  </li> <li>Promote an Exceptional Team Culture – Champion collaboration, innovation, and professional growth in an environment where everyone thrives. </li> </ul> Our high technician-to-DVM ratio ensures that you can focus on what you do best; patient care, diagnostics, and case investigation, while our skilled technicians and operations team handle everything else.  If you’re motivated by the opportunity to launch and lead a trusted emergency veterinary hospital in an area that truly needs it, this role is for you.  WHY HOLLAND?  Situated along the shores of Lake Michigan and Lake Macatawa, Holland blends small-town charm with rich Dutch heritage. Due to its amenities, cost of living, education and healthcare, Holland has consistently held an A+ rating according to the Best Places ranking system.   Offering career growth, community spirit, and an exceptional quality of life, Holland is an ideal place to build your future.  RESPONSIBILITIES:  <ul> <li>Act as an advocate for the entire clinical team by coordinating with the location manager to ensure equipment, inventory, protocols, and staffing are appropriate to EVCC standards </li> <li>Provide medical insight and participate in resolution of client complaints </li> <li>Lead onsite mentorship of new DVMs and model effective instruction for the clinical support team </li> <li>Provide mentorship for selected VTS candidates </li> <li>Facilitate and participate in DVM check-ins and evaluations </li> <li>Manage the DVM scheduling for the clinic </li> <li>Hold the DEA license for the location, and ensure legal compliance standards are met </li> <li>Coordinate with the recruiting team on events, DVM candidate interviews, and assist with the externship program </li> </ul> QUALIFICATIONS:  <ul> <li>Graduate of an AVMA accredited Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) program </li> <li>A minimum of two (2) years of ER experience </li> <li>We will alternatively consider reduced ER experience if combined with a minimum of 3 years clinical practice and leadership experience for the right candidate </li> <li>Proficient in common emergency surgeries </li> <li>Exceptional interpersonal skills and compassionate “bedside” manner, building trust and strong relationships with clients–both human and furry alike </li> </ul> BENEFITS & SUPPORT:  <ul> <li> $250k+ compensation package </li> <li>Healthcare benefits starting on day 1 of employment! </li> <li>Comprehensive vision and dental plans </li> <li>401k with 4% company match after 6 months of employment</li> <li>Short-term and long-term disability and life insurance </li> <li>Veterinary care discounts for your pets </li> <li>Flexible scheduling to allow for the ultimate work-life balance </li> <li>Relocation allowance </li> <li>Bonus Plan </li> <li>One-on-one mentorship with an existing EVCC Medical Director, with in-person mentorship during initial transition </li> <li>Regular Medical Director Team Check-ins </li> <li>Annual In-Person Location Medical Director Summit </li> <li>And so much more! </li> </ul> If you are interested in learning more check us out at <a href="https://www.evcc.com">www.evcc.com</a> or reach out to <a href="mailto:sarah@evcc.com">sarah@evcc.com</a>
