Heritage Animal Hospital in Morgantown, Kentucky is a growing mixed animal practice and we’re looking to add a skilled Veterinary Technician to join our team. We care for a variety of patients—including small animals, equine, and ruminants—and offer a great opportunity for a technician who enjoys diversity in their day to day. Our team thrives in a low-stress, supportive environment where laughter is part of the daily routine. Our practice offers a well-rounded caseload, and we’re proud to provide everything from routine preventive care to advanced services like chiropractic care and stem cell therapy.

 Our hospital is equipped with:

• Digital X-ray 

• Laser Therapy
• In-House Labs
• Advanced Surgical Equipment
• Haul-In Facility for Large Animal 
• EKG
• Ultrasound

Responsibilities

As a Veterinary Technician, your duties will include:

• Assisting veterinarians during patient exams, treatments, and surgeries.
• Administering medications, vaccinations, and therapeutic treatments.
• Performing diagnostic tests, including radiography, bloodwork, and urinalysis.
• Monitoring anesthesia and providing post-operative care.
• Conducting dental cleanings and using digital dental radiography.
• Educating clients on preventive care, treatment plans, and post-care instructions.
• Maintaining accurate patient records and ensuring a clean, organized clinic environment

Schedule: 4 days per week & every other 1/2 day Saturday
Hospital Hours: M-F 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM, Saturday 8:00 AM - 12:00 PM, Sunday Closed

Qualifications

• Experience as Veterinary Technician is preferred
• Experience with Large Animals is preferred
• Skills: Strong diagnostic, technical, and communication abilities
• Surgery experience preferred
• Mindset: A positive attitude, attention to detail, and a passion for patient care.
• Physical Ability: Able to lift up to 50 lbs and work on your feet for extended periods.
