VFX Artist (Member Level) - Osaka/Tokyo

Effect creation for in-game and cutscenes in PC/console game development.

Includes research and testing of effect expressions, as well as tool support tasks.

Specifically:

• Create 2D/3D effects for battles, cutscenes, UI, and stages.
• Implement effects in the game engine.
• Design workflows and specifications.

Requirements

Must-have:

• 3+ years of practical experience creating 2D/3D effects using a game engine.
• Development experience with Unreal Engine.

Nice-to-have:

• Hands-on experience with effect-related tools (e.g., Maya, Houdini, After Effects, Substance 3D).
• Experience managing outsourcing.
• Ability to create physically-based shaders using real-time rendering.
• Experience creating effects using Houdini.
• Extensive knowledge of fluid simulation.
• Interest in improving workflows and efficiency in effect production.
• Programming knowledge in scripting and shaders that can be applied to effect creation.

Ideal candidate:

• Passion for games and strong affinity for SNK IPs.
• Self-driven, proactive in understanding project status and making creative and technical proposals.
• Interest in new technologies and knowledge related to effect expression.
• Strong communication skills and flexibility to coordinate effectively with others.

Working Hours

9:30 AM – 6:00 PM (7.5 hours of actual work per day)

Note: The above is an estimated working time, as this position is subject to a specialized discretionary labor system.

Holidays & Leave

• Full five-day workweek (Saturday and Sunday off)
