<p>The Vice President Enterprise Data & Analytics is accountable for establishing and executing the data strategy to enable data-driven decision making, advanced analytics, and data innovation across the organization. This role ensures effective governance, architecture, and delivery of data platforms, analytics, and insights aligned with corporate priorities. </p>
<p>The role exists to transform data into a strategic asset that drives underwriting performance, claims efficiency, customer experience, and operational excellence. It leads the design and delivery of scalable data and AI capabilities, ensuring high-quality, trusted data while enabling advanced modeling and insights. </p>
<p>Expected outcomes include modernized data infrastructure, enhanced business intelligence and analytics, improved regulatory and reporting capabilities, and measurable business value through data products and insights. </p>

<p><strong>Define and Lead Enterprise Data Strategy</strong> </p>
<ul>
<li>Develop and/or execute a multi-year data and analytics strategy aligned to business goals </li>
</ul>
<ul>
<li>Establish data governance, quality, and stewardship frameworks across the organization </li>
</ul>
<ul>
<li>Partner with executive leadership to prioritize data-driven initiatives and investments </li>
</ul>
<p><strong>Deliver Scalable Data Engineering & Platforms</strong> </p>
<ul>
<li>Partner with IT to oversee design and implementation of modern data architecture (data lakes, warehouses, cloud platforms) </li>
</ul>
<ul>
<li>Ensure reliable, secure, and efficient data pipelines and integration across core insurance systems </li>
</ul>
<ul>
<li>Drive adoption of scalable tools, platforms, and engineering best practices </li>
</ul>
<p><strong>Enable Advanced Analytics & Data Science</strong> </p>
<ul>
<li>Lead development of predictive models and AI solutions supporting underwriting, pricing, claims, and customer insights </li>
</ul>
<ul>
<li>Establish frameworks for model governance, validation, and ethical AI practices </li>
</ul>
<ul>
<li>Translate complex analytics into actionable business insights </li>
</ul>

<p><strong>Business Intelligence & Data Enablement</strong> </p>
<ul>
<li>Deliver enterprise reporting, dashboards, and self-service analytics capabilities </li>
</ul>
<ul>
<li>Drive data literacy and adoption across business units </li>
</ul>
<ul>
<li>Ensure regulatory, financial, and operational reporting is accurate, timely, and auditable </li>
</ul>
<p><strong>Leadership & Talent Development</strong> </p>
<ul>
<li>Lead and develop a high-performing team of Directors across Data Engineering, Analytics, and Data Science </li>
</ul>
<ul>
<li>Establish organizational design, capabilities, and succession plans </li>
</ul>
<ul>
<li>Foster a culture of innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement </li>
</ul>

<p><strong>Qualifications</strong></p>
<p></p>
<ul>
<li>Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or a related field. </li>
</ul>
<ul>
<li>Ten (10) or more years of progressive experience in data engineering, analytics, or related domains, including Five (5) or more years in executive leadership roles. </li>
</ul>
<ul>
<li>Proven success in leading data transformations and delivering measurable business outcomes. </li>
</ul>
<ul>
<li>Deep expertise in a combination of the below:</li>
</ul>
<ul>
<li>
<ul>
<li>Cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP)</li>
<li>Data lakehouse/warehouse (e.g., Databricks, Snowflake)</li>
<li>ETL/ELT tools and orchestration frameworks</li>
<li>Programming languages (Python, SQL)</li>
<li>Data visualization (e.g., Tableau, Power BI)</li>
</ul>
</li>
</ul>
<ul>
<li>Strong understanding of data governance, security, and compliance frameworks. </li>
</ul>
<ul>
<li>Demonstrated ability to influence at all levels and communicate complex data concepts to non-technical stakeholders. </li>
</ul>
<ul>
<li>Experience managing budgets, vendor contracts, and cross-functional initiatives. </li>
</ul>
<p>Additional helpful experience:</p>
<ul>
<li>Certified Analytics Professional (CAP) </li>
</ul>
<ul>
<li>Cloud certifications (AWS, Azure, GCP) </li>
</ul>
<ul>
<li>Prior experience in the insurance industry</li>
</ul>
