Over the past decade, the team has partnered with 14 Mexico-headquartered companies, deploying close to $4B into Mexico, and building a portfolio that has created over 20,000 jobs and delivered strong growth across sectors ranging from fintech and healthcare to consumer and pharmaceuticals.  The Mexico team manages a $5B+ portfolio and operates as a lean, high-conviction platform with outsized opportunity. Small and agile by design, the team is deeply embedded in its portfolio companies and the broader entrepreneurial ecosystem, with a strong local presence and long-standing relationships across business, government, and capital markets.  Recent investments reflect the team's ambition and range: Banamex, GA's largest growth equity investment in Mexico to date, and Grupo Aguilas – owner of Club América and Estadio Banorte – underscore the firm's conviction in the region as it enters a multi-decade phase of expansion fueled by innovation, entrepreneurialism, and technology. Position Summary We are seeking a full-time Vice President to join our Mexico City–based investment team. As a key member of the global platform, the Vice President will lead sourcing, evaluation, execution, and management of investments across Latin America, while collaborating with colleagues across regions and sectors.  Vice Presidents at GA act as central relationship owners for portfolio companies, drive investment processes end-to-end, and play a critical leadership role in shaping investment theses, developing junior talent, and representing the firm externally.  This role offers the opportunity to work closely with senior leadership at GA and with management teams across our global portfolio, helping high-growth companies scale and create long-term value.  Responsibilities <ul> <li>Portfolio Management & Value Creation:  <ul> <li>Work closely with portfolio company management teams to drive operational improvements, strategic initiatives, and value creation opportunities. </li> <li>Monitor financial and operational performance, identify value creation levers, and support strategic initiatives (e.g., M&A, market expansion, organizational buildout). </li> <li>Contribute to exit strategy planning and execution. </li> </ul> </li> <li>Deal Execution & Diligence:  <ul> <li>Lead and manage complex transaction processes, including diligence, valuation, structuring, negotiations, and closing. </li> <li>Direct Associates and Senior Associates in analyses, modeling, and materials development; ensure high-quality output under tight timelines. </li> <li>Coordinate third-party advisors, experts, and internal cross-functional teams. </li> <li>Prepare and present investment memos for internal Investment Committee discussions. </li> </ul> </li> <li>Deal Sourcing & Thematic Development  <ul> <li>Proactively identify and evaluate investment opportunities in Mexico and broader Latin America through market mapping, research, and relationship building. </li> <li>Develop and refine investment themes that align with GA’s global sector strategies. </li> <li>Build strong networks with entrepreneurs, advisors, bankers, and industry leaders. </li> </ul> </li> <li>GA Team Development:  <ul> <li>Mentor and coach junior team members, providing guidance and support to foster professional growth and development. </li> <li>Contribute to a collaborative and high-performing culture within the firm, promoting teamwork and knowledge sharing. </li> </ul> </li> </ul> Qualifications <ul> <li>MBA from a top-tier program preferred; non-MBA profiles with relevant experience will also be considered </li> <li>Bachelor's degree from a top-tier university </li> <li>4-7 years of experience in growth equity, private equity; investment banking foundational training strongly preferred </li> <li>Proven track record of executing successful private equity/growth transactions from sourcing to closing; presenting to investment committees </li> <li>Experience working closely with management teams and driving value creation efforts </li> <li>Experience covering Latin American investments is preferred  </li> <li>Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment </li> <li>Passionate about discovering interesting transformational up-and-coming high-growth companies </li> <li>Exceptional financial modeling, valuation, and due diligence skills </li> <li>Fluent written and verbal communication skills in English and Spanish </li> </ul><div class="content-conclusion">General Atlantic is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, marital status, age, national origin, ancestry, physical or mental disability, medical condition, pregnancy, genetic information, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, veteran status, or any other status protected under federal, state, or local law.
