We also partner with an in-person clinic in Calgary, AB, allowing physicians based there to choose between virtual or onsite care.</p> <p>PurposeMed's office is located on the unceded and traditional territories of the peoples of the Treaty 7 region which includes the nations of the Siksika, the Piikani, the Kainai, the Îethka Stoney Nakoda which consists of the Chiniki, Bearspaw, and Good Stoney Bands, and people of the Tsuut’ina First Nation. The city of Calgary is also homeland to the historic Northwest Métis and to the Otipemisiwak Métis government, Métis Nation Battle River Territory, Nose Hill Métis District 5 and Elbow Métis District 6.</p> <hr> <h4><strong>Who we hope to find:</strong></h4> <p>We are looking for Physicians who are passionate about providing high quality gender-affirming care to our Foria Clinic patients. Foria clinic is primarily a virtual clinic providing trans, non-binary, and gender-diverse Canadians with gender-affirming healthcare. Reporting to the Medical Director of Foria, our team of physicians provide hormone assessments and prescriptions, surgical assessments and referrals, and general health care to trans and nonbinary people in Alberta. Join us in the opportunity to improve access to gender-affirming care across the province!</p> <h4><strong>In this role, you’ll make an impact by:</strong></h4> <ul> <li>Working with patients from across Alberta who are highly motivated and excited to access care</li> <li>Supporting peoples’ gender journeys through hormone prescribing and referrals to surgeons</li> <li>Working collaboratively with a team including other Physicians, Nurse Practitioners and a Psychotherapist to ensure high quality care is provided to all patients</li> <li>Reducing wait-times for trans and nonbinary folks in all regions of Alberta</li> <li>Advocating for system changes to better support trans and nonbinary people</li> </ul> <h4><strong>We need someone who has:</strong></h4> <ul> <li>A College of Physicians and Surgeons of Alberta (CPSA) license in good standing</li> <li>Canadian Medical Protective Association (CMPA) coverage for practice in Alberta</li> <li>An interest in gender-affirming care</li> </ul> <h4><strong>It would also be great if you have:</strong></h4> <ul> <li style="font-weight: 400;">Previous experience and/or training in trans and nonbinary health care (e.g. from Trans Care BC, Rainbow Health Ontario, WPATH, etc.)</li> </ul> <h4><strong>Billing:</strong></h4> <ul> <li>Fee-for-service AH billing (psychotherapy and consult codes) managed by our operations team</li> <li>Competitive overhead fees</li> </ul> <p><em><span style="font-weight: 400;">Do you think you could be our next Physician</span></em><em><span style="font-weight: 400;">?
