Business Function

Responsibilities
Business Integration Support:
- Support the integration of the securities trading business into the bank’s Global Financial Market operations, ensuring that both business units are aligned in terms of systems, processes, and workflows
- Lead or support key projects, including the alignment of market initiatives (e.g. HK T+1 settlement cycle, USM), trading platforms, reporting systems, and post-trade processes.
- Participate in other initiatives, projects or process changes as required by HK, Group of DBS Group
- Work closely with internal teams (Front Office, IT, Risk, Compliance and Operations) to ensure successful integration of systems and processes, and to mitigate any operational disruptions
Project Management for Integration Efforts:
- Develop and manage project timelines, ensuring deliverables are met on schedule and within budget
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve issues during the integration process, ensuring minimal disruption to trading activities
- Manage vendor contractors in terms of SLA (service level agreement). Set up new Service Level Agreement (SLA) with Supporting Units (SUs) and review/monitor existing SLAs
Stakeholder Management and Communication:
- Serve as a key point of contact for internal stakeholders during the integration process, providing updates on progress, challenges, and risks
- Facilitate communication between Trading teams, Technology, Operations, Risk and Compliance departments, and other relevant business units
- Communicate project objectives, timelines, and progress to senior management and other stakeholders
Post-Integration Support and Continuous Improvement:
- Provide ongoing support after the integration is completed, monitoring the effectiveness of new processes, systems, and workflows
- Identify areas for continuous improvement and work with teams to implement further optimizations
- Ensure the sustainability of the integrated business model by maintaining strong operational procedures and risk controls
- Drive strategic cost management and annual budget planning exercise
Requirements
- Minimum 10 years of experience with equity-based products, including at least 3 years in project management
- Strong preference for investment bank equity trading experience, with exposure to electronic trading or fixed-income operations being a plus
- Proven experience in large-scale business integration, process transformations, or mergers within financial institutions
- Solid project management skills, specifically leading cross-functional teams during business integration processes
- Strong understanding of securities trading flow, systems, processes, trading platforms, post-trade processes, risk management systems, and financial products
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of explaining complex concepts and collaborating effectively with diverse stakeholders and senior management
