<h3>VP, Field Operations & Service Delivery</h3>
<p>Runwise is seeking a VP, Field Operations & Service Delivery to lead and scale our national field operations organization. This role will oversee installation, service, commissioning, and technical field support across all markets while transforming Runwise’s field capabilities into a highly efficient, nationally scalable operation.</p>
<p>This is a senior leadership role responsible for building the operational systems, training programs, and regional structures required to support rapid company growth.</p>
<h3><strong>THE TEAM</strong></h3>
<p>Runwise (<a href="http://www.runwise.com">www.runwise.com</a>) is a fast-paced, customer-focused climate-tech startup that controls and runs the key energy systems (heating, cooling, water, etc…) in <strong>8000+ buildings throughout the US</strong>. Runwise’s unique hardware and software service significantly reduces energy usage, substantially lowering costs and carbon output. As of today, Runwise’s technology takes the equivalent of <strong>100,000 cars worth of carbon emissions off the road each year</strong>. Runwise is headquartered in <strong>New York City with established markets in Chicago, Boston, and Washington D.C.</strong></p>
<h3><strong>THE ROLE</strong></h3>
<p>As VP, Field Operations & Service Delivery, you will lead Runwise’s field operations organization, including installation teams, service technicians, and commissioning specialists. Your primary focus will be transforming our field organization into a nationally scalable service operation capable of supporting rapid expansion into new markets while maintaining consistent installation quality and service reliability. You will develop operational frameworks, training programs, and regional field structures that enable efficient installations, rapid service response, and consistent operational standards across all markets. You will work cross-functionally with Customer Service, Logistics, Product, Engineering, and Operations to ensure field execution aligns with company growth and customer needs.</p>
<h3><strong>KEY RESPONSIBILITIES</strong></h3>
<h3><strong>Field Operations Leadership</strong></h3>
<ul>
<li>Lead and develop installation, service, and commissioning teams across all markets</li>
<li>Establish operational structures to support national scaling</li>
<li>Create clear accountability and performance metrics across the field organization</li>
</ul>
<h3><strong>National Field Expansion</strong></h3>
<ul>
<li>Design regional field coverage models and staffing strategies</li>
<li>Develop frameworks for launching new markets efficiently</li>
<li>Build repeatable operational playbooks for new market deployment</li>
</ul>
<h3><strong>Operational Efficiency</strong></h3>
<ul>
<li>Improve installation speed, quality, and consistency</li>
<li>Reduce service revisit rates through improved training and processes</li>
<li>Optimize technician routing, scheduling coordination, and resource allocation</li>
</ul>
<h3><strong>Training & Quality Programs</strong></h3>
<ul>
<li>Develop field training programs and technical certifications</li>
<li>Establish installation standards and commissioning procedures</li>
<li>Implement quality assurance programs across the field organization</li>
</ul>
<h3><strong>Cross-Functional Collaboration</strong></h3>
<ul>
<li>Work closely with Customer Service and Scheduling to ensure service coverage</li>
<li>Partner with Product and Engineering to incorporate field feedback into product improvements</li>
<li>Coordinate with Logistics and Procurement to ensure field teams have the materials they need</li>
</ul>
<h3><strong>Who you are:</strong></h3>
<ul>
<li>Based in the New York City area</li>
<li>Experienced leader in large-scale field operations or service organizations</li>
<li>Comfortable balancing strategic planning with hands-on operational leadership</li>
<li>Highly organized with strong operational discipline</li>
<li>Able to manage teams across multiple markets and operational environments</li>
</ul>
<h3><strong>Requirements:</strong></h3>
<ul>
<li>10+ years of experience leading field operations, service, or installation organizations</li>
<li>Experience scaling multi-market or national field teams</li>
<li>Background in HVAC, building systems, construction technology, energy systems, or hardware deployments preferred</li>
<li>Strong operational leadership and process improvement experience</li>
</ul>
<p>Salary: <strong>$200,000-$250,000 annually (Based on experience)</strong></p>
