About the role

Business Function

Corporate and Investment Banking provides corporate customers with a full range of commercial banking products and services, including cash management services, current accounts, time deposits, trade finance, working capital finance, term loans and foreign exchange. Through our continued commitment, DBS has cultivated long-standing relationships with its customers in the region that are based on account relationship management, service differentiation, product development and rigorous credit standards.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with mid-cap and SME clients within the Institutional Banking Group
  • Understand the client's business, financial needs, and objectives, and provide tailored solutions to meet their requirements
  • Proactively identify and capitalize on cross-selling opportunities to expand the bank's product and service offerings to clients
  • Collaborate with various teams within the bank, such as credit, product, and operations, to ensure seamless service delivery to clients
  • Actively participate in the bank's business development initiatives and contribute to the growth of the Institutional Banking Group
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of the bank's products, services, and industry trends to provide valuable insights to clients

Requirements

  • Reasonable years of experience in a similar role within the banking or financial services industry
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with clients
  • Demonstrated track record of successfully managing a portfolio of mid-cap and SME clients
  • Proficient in analyzing financial statements, understanding client needs, and proposing appropriate solutions
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and contribute to the overall success of the Institutional Banking Group
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills, with a focus on delivering high-quality service to clients
