OVERVIEW OF ROLE: Based in Norwood, MA, the Warehouse Forklift Operator will process receipt, storage, and shipment of finished goods and raw materials. This role is also responsible for staging materials for production, moving materials to and from the production floor, and maintaining an environment of safety and food safety.  1st Shift: Monday-Friday with occasional scheduled Saturdays from 5:00am-5:00pm New Hire Base Salary Range: $20.00/hr plus overtime.  At Home Market Foods, we believe in rewarding talent, celebrating success, and creating a workplace where people love to come to work every day. Actual compensation will depend on your experience, skills, education, geographic considerations, and internal equity.   ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES <ul> <li>Off load all inbound freight and maintains written documentation of the transactions.</li> <li>MUST have experience using a stand-up forklift.  </li> <li>Verify accuracy of inbound freight bills and signs for the materials.</li> <li>Post receipt or movement of any product to NAV ERP system</li> <li>Stage all material needed to successfully mix, produce and package products on all manufacturing lines, ensuring that production is not interrupted for lack of materials</li> <li>Store or ship all finished goods product from designated production area</li> <li>Receive returns from production and re-racks according to need</li> <li>Notify Warehouse Lead or Warehouse Supervisor for inspection of incoming product.</li> <li>Rotate product date codes during pulling operations.</li> <li>Maintain inventory accuracy.</li> <li>Maintain safety and sanitation standards.</li> <li>Other duties as assigned</li> </ul> EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE: <ul> <li>High school diploma or equivalent required</li> <li>Minimum of two years' experience in shipping, receiving required</li> <li>Experienced in put-away / retrieval of pallets in racked warehouses required</li> <li>Experience in loading & unloading trucks required</li> <li>Familiar with warehouse documentation and processing requirements required</li> <li>Licensed/Certified to operate forklifts (specifically stand-up forklifts) and other warehouse equipment preferred</li> <li>Average computer skills and knowledge of ERP systems required</li> <li>Ability to read, write and take directions in English required; Bilingual in Spanish and/or Portuguese preferred</li> <li>Knowledge of Manufacturing Inventory Management Systems required</li> </ul> PHYSICAL DEMANDS: The below physical demands are representative of those that must be met by the team member to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. <ul> <li>Able to stand for prolonged periods of time</li> <li>Must have good vision</li> <li> Must be able to lift up to 75 pounds.</li> </ul> WORK ENVIRONMENT: The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.
