We are on a mission to become the world’s most requested PPE and Safety Wear brand.</span></p> <p><strong>JOB SUMMARY:&nbsp;</strong></p> <div> <p>We are seeking a hands-on Warehouse Team Leader to support the setup and day-to-day operations of a new warehouse facility.</p> <p>This role will act as the first-line leader for warehouse operatives and forklift drivers, ensuring efficient shift execution across inbound, storage and outbound activities. The Team Leader will play a critical role in establishing operational standards, driving productivity, and maintaining a strong health and safety culture in a fast-paced PPE environment.</p> <p>The successful candidate will combine strong people leadership with a hands-on approach, actively supporting warehouse tasks when required. Working closely with the Warehouse Shift Manager and Operations Manager, this role will be key to building a high-performing team in a growing operation.</p> </div> <p><strong>KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:</strong></p> <ul> <li><span data-teams="true">Lead and coordinate warehouse activities for the assigned shift, including goods-in, order picking, packing, replenishment, and dispatch.</span></li> <li><span data-teams="true">Supervise, motivate, and support the team to achieve shift targets and operational KPIs.</span></li> <li><span data-teams="true">Allocate workloads effectively to meet productivity and accuracy standards.</span></li> <li><span data-teams="true">Ensure compliance with health &amp; safety policies, hygiene regulations, and PPE handling procedures at all times.</span></li> <li><span data-teams="true">Conduct shift briefings and debriefs to communicate priorities, updates, and safety reminders.</span></li> <li><span data-teams="true">Monitor team performance and address issues such as absenteeism, performance gaps, or training needs.</span></li> <li><span data-teams="true">Maintain accurate records of stock movements, discrepancies, damages, and shift handovers using the Warehouse Management System (WMS).</span></li> <li><span data-teams="true">Assist with stock counts, audits, and investigations into discrepancies or damages.</span></li> <li><span data-teams="true">Escalate operational challenges promptly to the Warehouse Shift managers or the Operations Manager as appropriate.</span></li> <li><span data-teams="true">Act as the primary point of contact for resolving operational issues during the shift.</span></li> </ul> <p><strong>REQUIREMENTS:</strong></p> <div> <ul> <li>Proven experience in a warehouse team leader or supervisory role</li> <li>Strong understanding of warehouse operations and KPIs</li> <li>Experience managing teams in a hands-on environment</li> <li>Good level of English (required for communication and system use)</li> <li>Familiarity with WMS or ERP systems</li> <li>Strong organisational and problem-solving skills</li> <li>Flexibility to perform operational tasks as part of a small team</li> </ul> </div> <p><strong>Nice to Have:</strong></p> <div> <ul> <li>Forklift licence or experience operating warehouse equipment</li> </ul> </div> <div> <ul> <li>Experience in a fast-paced or start-up warehouse environment</li> </ul> </div> <p><strong><iframe src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/WAkl88qoO38" width="560" height="314"></iframe></strong></p> <p>#LI-NA1</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>&nbsp;</p><div class="content-conclusion"><p><strong>COMPANY&nbsp;</strong><strong>AWARDS</strong></p> <ul> <li>Great Place To Work 2024&nbsp;</li> <li><span class="TextRun Highlight SCXW194267799 BCX0" lang="EN-IE" data-contrast="none"><span class="NormalTextRun SCXW194267799 BCX0">Private Irish Business of the year – Export </span><span class="NormalTextRun SCXW194267799 BCX0">Indu</span><span class="NormalTextRun SCXW194267799 BCX0">s</span><span class="NormalTextRun SCXW194267799 BCX0">try</span><span class="NormalTextRun SCXW194267799 BCX0"> Awards 2025</span></span></li> <li><span class="EOP SCXW194267799 BCX0" data-ccp-props="{}">Silver Ecovadis Sustainability Rating 2025</span></li> </ul> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>Applicants must have a right to live and work in the relevant jurisdiction.</p> <p>Portwest is an&nbsp;equal&nbsp;opportunity&nbsp;employer.
