Web Developer

We’re looking for a Web Developer who can combine technical expertise with strong front end precision to help deliver exceptional digital experiences for our clients.

The Role.

As Web Developer, you’ll play a key role in delivering websites across a variety of sectors, managing projects from scoping through to launch while collaborating closely with designers, strategists, SEO specialists, and paid media teams.

This is a hands-on, fast-paced role ideal for someone who enjoys balancing development, problem-solving, communication, and project ownership within a growing agency environment.

What You’ll Be Doing

Website Development & Delivery

• Build and maintain bespoke WordPress themes using Advanced Custom Fields (ACF), creating flexible content structures without page builders such as Elementor, Divi, or similar tools
• Translate Figma designs into pixel-perfect, responsive WordPress websites with exceptional attention to detail
• Extend, customise, and maintain existing WordPress themes and functionality
• Build and maintain custom WordPress plugins and integrations where required
• Build and maintain bespoke Shopify themes
• Integrate third-party platforms, APIs, and backend services to support client requirements
• Ensure websites are delivered on time, within scope, and to a high technical standard
• Troubleshoot technical issues and provide practical development solutions
  
  

Infrastructure, DevOps & Platform Management

• Manage website hosting environments, DNS configuration, domains, and deployment processes
• Work with Git-based workflows to ensure reliable and repeatable deployments
• Monitor, maintain, and improve website reliability, security, and performance
• Work with cloud-based platforms and services where required.
  
  

UX, Performance, Accessibility & Optimisation

• Ensure websites follow accessibility, SEO, UX, performance, and CRO best practices
• Collaborate with wider teams to identify opportunities for website improvements and lead generation enhancements
• Optimise website speed, usability, and overall user experiences
• Ensure all builds are responsive, accessible, performant, and aligned with modern web standards.
  
  

Client Communication

• Participate in client meetings, project discussions, and technical consultations
• Provide clear updates on project progress, timelines, and technical recommendations
• Support project scoping, estimates, and proposal development where needed
• Maintain professional and timely communication throughout project delivery.
  
  

Collaboration & Continuous Improvement

• Work collaboratively across departments to support wider marketing objectives
• Stay up to date with emerging web technologies, frameworks, and development trends
• Identify opportunities to improve internal workflows, processes, and efficiencies
• Support and collaborate with junior developers where needed.

What We’re Looking For

• Proven experience in a web development role, ideally within an agency environment
• Strong WordPress development experience, including bespoke theme and plugin development.
• Experience converting Figma designs into high-quality responsive websites
• Advanced experience with Advanced Custom Fields (ACF)
• Experience building bespoke WordPress websites without relying on page builders such as Elementor, Divi, or WPBakery.
• Experience developing and maintaining custom Shopify themes, with a strong understanding of Shopify's Liquid templating language and theme architecture
• Experience converting Figma designs into high-quality responsive websites.
• Strong eye for detail and front-end accuracy
• Strong proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and PHP, with proven experience delivering bespoke, performant, and maintainable web solutions
• Experience working with Git, pull requests, branching strategies, and collaborative development workflows
• Experience with hosting platforms, DNS management, web servers, and deployment processes
• Understanding of web performance optimisation and Core Web Vitals.
• Understanding of technical SEO and accessibility best practices.
• Strong organisational and project management skills
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
• A proactive mindset with strong attention to detail.
