About the role
Aureol Global Connections is seeking a qualified Welding Inspector to join our team. The Welding Inspector will be responsible for ensuring that all welding activities comply with relevant standards and project specifications. The role involves inspection of welds, reviewing procedures, and working closely with welding teams to maintain high-quality results.
Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough inspections of welding work to verify compliance with codes and specifications.
- Review welding procedures and qualifications to ensure adherence to applicable standards.
- Perform non-destructive testing (NDT) techniques to assess weld integrity.
- Document findings and prepare detailed inspection reports.
- Collaborate with welders and supervisors to address quality issues and implement corrective actions.
- Stay current with industry codes, standards, and best practices.
- Assist in training and mentoring welding personnel on quality standards.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; certification as a Welding Inspector (e.g., CWI) is preferred.
- Experience in welding inspection or quality control is required.
- Knowledge of welding processes, codes (such as AWS, ASME), and inspection techniques.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and welding documentation.
- Attention to detail with strong analytical skills.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Familiarity with non-destructive testing methods is advantageous.
- Willingness to travel to project sites as necessary.
