<p><span data-contrast="auto">As a Windows Platform Server Engineer, you will be part of the Global Infrastructure Team, responsible for designing, building, and supporting Microsoft Windows Server and virtualization infrastructure. Your role is critical in ensuring the smooth operation of core technology services that underpin research technology, trading platforms, market execution, and data processing.</span><span data-ccp-props="{}"> </span></p>
<p><strong><span data-contrast="auto">Responsibilities:</span></strong><span data-ccp-props="{}"> </span></p>
<ul>
<li><span data-contrast="auto">Evaluate, recommend, and implement new technologies to enhance reliability, scalability, and security.</span><span data-ccp-props="{}"> </span></li>
<li><span data-contrast="auto">Build, manage, and deploy all technologies related to the on-premises Windows Server stack, including OS, observability, backups, and identity services.</span><span data-ccp-props="{}"> </span></li>
<li><span data-contrast="auto">Configure and maintain monitoring and dashboarding tools to track server and application performance.</span><span data-ccp-props="{}"> </span></li>
<li><span data-contrast="auto">Build, manage, and deploy Windows Server environments (2022–2025).</span><span data-ccp-props="{}"> </span></li>
<li><span data-contrast="auto">Build, deploy, and monitor a globally distributed, multi-forest Active Directory environment.</span><span data-ccp-props="{}"> </span></li>
<li><span data-contrast="auto">Manage and configure tools such as Splunk, </span><span data-ccp-props="{}"> </span></li>
<li><span data-contrast="auto">Configure and manage Active Directory, Group Policy, and Entra ID integration to enforce security and access policies.</span><span data-ccp-props="{}"> </span></li>
<li><span data-contrast="auto">Automate server management using PowerShell, Ansible, and Terraform for provisioning, configuration, and maintenance.</span><span data-ccp-props="{}"> </span></li>
<li><span data-contrast="auto">Optimise and troubleshoot server backups to ensure data integrity and disaster recovery readiness.</span><span data-ccp-props="{}"> </span></li>
<li><span data-contrast="auto">Utilise SIEM tools to monitor and manage server security and performance.</span><span data-ccp-props="{}"> </span></li>
<li><span data-contrast="auto">Work with storage technologies (SAN/NAS) to ensure efficient integration and high availability.</span><span data-ccp-props="{}"> </span></li>
<li><span data-contrast="auto">Build manage and deploy VMware ESXi services, clustering, infrastructure and network concepts.</span><span data-ccp-props="{}"> </span></li>
<li><span data-contrast="auto">Develop and maintain technical documentation, architecture designs, and support materials.</span><span data-ccp-props="{}"> </span></li>
<li><span data-contrast="auto">Solid understanding of networking concepts </span><span data-ccp-props="{}"> </span></li>
<li><span data-contrast="auto">Support and optimise Citrix DaaS, Azure, Microsoft 365, and Intune environments.</span><span data-ccp-props="{}"> </span></li>
<li><span data-contrast="auto">Provide 2nd-line support and act as 3rd-line escalation for all Windows Server and application-related issues.</span><span data-ccp-props="{}"> </span></li>
<li><span data-contrast="auto">Provide cross-functional troubleshooting support when required.</span><span data-ccp-props="{}"> </span></li>
<li><span data-contrast="auto">Stay informed about market trends and emerging technologies to identify strategic improvement opportunities.</span><span data-ccp-props="{}"> </span></li>

<p><strong><span data-contrast="auto">Your present skillset:</span></strong><span data-ccp-props="{}"> </span></p>
<ul>
<li><span data-contrast="auto">Extensive experience designing, deploying, and managing Windows Server environments, including large-scale enterprise migrations.</span><span data-ccp-props="{}"> </span></li>
<li><span data-contrast="auto">Strong expertise in Active Directory, Group Policy, and DNS design, implementation, and advanced troubleshooting.</span><span data-ccp-props="{}"> </span></li>
<li><span data-contrast="auto">Advanced PowerShell scripting skills for automation, OS builds, patching, and infrastructure optimisation.</span><span data-ccp-props="{}"> </span></li>
<li><span data-contrast="auto">Deep understanding of Windows Update processes, enterprise patch management, and security hardening best practices.</span><span data-ccp-props="{}"> </span></li>
<li><span data-contrast="auto">Experience with configuration management tools such as Ansible.</span><span data-ccp-props="{}"> </span></li>
<li><span data-contrast="auto">Experience with backup tools such as Veeam.</span><span data-ccp-props="{}"> </span></li>
<li><span data-contrast="auto">Experience managing cloud infrastructure, including AWS EC2 and Azure.</span><span data-ccp-props="{}"> </span></li>
<li><span data-contrast="auto">Strong troubleshooting expertise across Windows 10/11 client operating systems.</span><span data-ccp-props="{}"> </span></li>
<li><span data-contrast="auto">Solid cloud platform experience with Azure, Entra ID, Microsoft 365, and Intune.</span><span data-ccp-props="{}"> </span></li>
<li><span data-contrast="auto">Experience supporting and optimising Citrix DaaS / VDI environments.</span><span data-ccp-props="{}"> </span></li>
<li><span data-contrast="auto">Experience supporting and optimising ESXi environments.</span><span data-ccp-props="{}"> </span></li>
<li><span data-contrast="auto">Strong knowledge of networking concepts, certificate services (PKI), and infrastructure security.</span><span data-ccp-props="{}"> </span></li>
<li><span data-contrast="auto">Experience with performance monitoring and optimisation of Windows servers, desktops, and virtual machines.</span><span data-ccp-props="{}"> </span></li>
<li><span data-contrast="auto">Excellent communication skills with the ability to work independently, prioritise workloads, and contribute effectively to cross-functional projects</span><span data-ccp-props="{}"> </span></li>
