Your solutions will run on virtual and physical hardware across globally dispersed, WAN-connected sites, integrated into public, private, and hybrid cloud environments.</p> <p>We need a proven Windows desktop engineer with depth in MECM/MCM, application virtualization, and deployment tooling — and the clearance to work where it matters most. If you thrive in complex, high-stakes environments and take ownership from requirements through O&amp;M, we want to hear from you.</p> <h1>What you’ll own</h1> <p>You’ll carry solutions through the full IT project lifecycle — from refining requirements and creating design documentation to deployment and ongoing O&amp;M support.</p> <ul> <li>Design and define system architecture for Windows desktop solutions and client-based applications</li> <li>Build, deploy, and administer large-scale, multi-domain enterprise Windows environments — virtual and physical</li> <li>Engineer and package client software installations for Microsoft Windows desktops across diverse environments</li> <li>Integrate Windows desktops with enterprise services including public, private, and hybrid cloud platforms</li> <li>Plan and direct OS version upgrades and supporting infrastructure changes</li> <li>Evaluate desktop software and hardware technologies and recommend the most efficient implementation approach</li> <li>Support mobile users on laptop hardware with maintained, secure Windows configurations</li> <li>Integrate anti-virus and malware products into Windows desktop configurations and lead remediation efforts</li> <li>Execute rapid software fix deployments for desktops and servers</li> <li>Produce design documentation, installation instructions, and deployment plans to support every project</li> </ul> <h1>What you bring to the table</h1> <h2>Must-haves</h2> <ul> <li>Active TS/SCI clearance with CI Polygraph</li> <li>5+ years of related Windows desktop engineering experience; B.S. degree or equivalent</li> <li>CompTIA Security+ or equivalent DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification</li> <li>MECM/MCM packaging experience with deep knowledge of OSD, MDT, and Intune</li> <li>Experience with Microsoft Windows desktop design, engineering, and implementation</li> <li>Experience engineering and deploying client software installation packages for physical and virtual Windows desktops</li> <li>Application virtualization experience: Citrix XenApp, Citrix App Layering, Microsoft App-V, and MSIX App Attach</li> <li>Experience maintaining Windows desktop systems for mobile/laptop users</li> <li>Anti-virus and malware product integration and remediation within Windows desktop environments</li> <li>Rapid software fix deployment experience for both desktops and servers</li> </ul> <h2>Strong differentiators</h2> <ul> <li>Active Directory, Group Policy, DFS, DNS, and DHCP administration</li> <li>VMware Dynamic Environment Manager</li> <li>Microsoft Azure and Office 365</li> <li>Windows Server 2016 and 2019</li> <li>PowerShell or other Windows automation scripting</li> <li>ServiceNow task management and workflow tracking</li> <li>DISA STIG compliance and system security hardening</li> </ul> <p><strong>Your clearance. The salary range for this position is typically $145-$155k.
