Worship Director

Position Overview

Southall Church Southall Church is a healthy, multiplying church in Franklin, TN with a vision to bring the life of Jesus to our families, neighbors and nations. We are looking for a Worship Director to be the primary point person for Southall’s worship & production environments.

Role Summary

The Worship Director will be a part of the Worship Arts department that seeks to come alongside the vision of our church by facilitating a culture where people leave our Worship Gatherings saying, “Surely God is in this place.” This person will work with leadership to program worship gatherings that align with Southall’s vision.

 

Key Responsibilities

• Work with the leadership team to program worship services that align with Southall’s vision and accomplish our mission.
• Recruit, schedule and mentor worship team members.
• Coach, disciple, and care for worship and production volunteers across all teams, especially in Next Gen through weekly messages, phone calls, and coffee meetings.
• Collaborate with the Worship Arts Pastor in selecting songs, arranging sets, and planning special services.
• Participate in rehearsals, meetings, and creative planning sessions.
• Help oversee volunteer development in music, songwriting, and worship leading.
• Function as the primary point person for all Southall Next Gen worship & production environments (overseeing Worship + Production) from Young Adult to Student gatherings.
• Work with Production Director to help maintain excellence in sound, lighting, and overall worship environments.
• Oversee our Next Gen services systems PROS (pastoring, recruiting, onboarding & scheduling) including collaboration with the entire worship department in the execution of team nights and development days.
• Raise up and empower area-specific coaches & volunteer staff to grow volunteers teams.
• Contribute to the spiritual growth and care of the worship team.
• Learn from pacesetters and other church’s best practices regarding their approach to worship ministry.
• Other duties as assigned
• Additional responsibilities as needed.

• Fulfill the membership requirements of Southall Church (commit to model joyful generosity by tithing)
• Strong musical ability and worship-leading experience.
• Team-building and leadership skills.
• Good communication and organizational abilities.
• Spiritually mature and passionate about leading others in worship.
• Able to work collaboratively and take direction well

SCHEDULE: Sunday - Thursday  

HOURS: 40 (must be available for special events, church meetings, etc)

COMPENSATION: TBD

STAFF LEVEL: Director: reports to the Worship Arts Pastor
